Information specific to newsletters/emails. Users may provide their name and email address to receive our digital newsletters. Users may refuse to provide the information; however, we cannot send newsletters without an email address. If you receive an unwanted newsletter or marketing email, you may unsubscribe from future newsletters or marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. This information is shared with our website host Squarespace. you may also receive emails that provide important information about educational programs you have purchased. You will not be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from emails regarding programs you have purchased because they are necessary to ensure the optimal experience for program participants.

We may also email you with messages about your order or account activity. For example, we may email you to tell you that:

  • You’ve created a Customer Account

  • Your Customer Account password has been reset or updated

  • You’ve made a purchase

  • Your order confirmation including how to access programs

It’s not possible to unsubscribe from these messages. These messages are sent through Squarespace, our web hosting service.

Information specific to online educational programs. Users must provide limited personal information to participate in our online educational programs. Such information is provided through Squarespace using a Google form. Specific information requested is:

  • parent/guardian name

  • parent/guardian email address

  • parent/guardian home or shipping address

  • participants’ first names, last initials, and ages

  • parent/guardian phone numbers and

  • payment information

As you go through checkout, this site may auto-complete your shipping and billing address by sharing what you type with the Google Places API and returning suggestions to you to improve your checkout experience. This information is used solely to provide online educational programs to participants, to ensure that minor participants have permission to participate from a parent or guardian, and to collect payment. Users may refuse to provide such information; however, it may prevent the user from participating in online educational programs. This information is shared with Canvas, a learning management system. This enables us to provide online educational programs. After signing up for an online educational experience, participants’ parent or guardian will receive a link from Canvas that enables them to create a unique user name and password. Protection of Children (COPPA information)

We provide online educational experiences for children including children under age 13. We are prohibited from conditioning a child’s participation in an online educational program on a child’s disclosing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the activity. We collect only the child’s name and age. This information is necessary to tailor activities to the child’s interests and abilities. A child must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian to participate in our online educational programs, and every child’s parent or guardian has the right to revoke consent, or review, have deleted, or refuse collection and use of a child’s information. If we materially change the information that we need to collect regarding children who participate in our online programs, we may request additional consent from parents or guardians. If a participant’s parent or guardian revokes consent, we will immediately stop collecting, using, or disclosing the child’s information; however, the revoked consent will also end the child’s participation in our online educational programs.
