Personal Identification Information Collection, Use, and Protection

To minimize the risk to users, we only collect users’ personal identification information when it is relevant and necessary for the user to obtain services and voluntarily supplied by the user. We collect limited personal information from users who fill out forms on our website and only in connection with providing information or services to users. Fearless Farmers, Inc. does not “process” user provided information as defined by Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541.

Information specific to newsletters/marketing emails. Users may provide their name and email address to receive our digital newsletters. Users may refuse to provide the information; however, we cannot send newsletters without an email address. If you receive an unwanted newsletter or marketing email, you may unsubscribe from future newsletters or marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. Information specific to donations. Firstly, thank you for your donation! Secondly, as part of a donation transaction we do collect certain personal information that is required for tax and financial compliance reasons as well as to maintain our relationship with our supporters. This information may include:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Your credit card information

  • Your billing address

Your name and email address are used to create a donor profile in our Squarespace environment. This allows us to track all of our donor relationships as well as to maintain functionality for recurring donations if you have selected the option to provide ongoing support. Such information, as a result, is shared with Squarespace. Donations are collected through Squarespace Payments, a fully integrated, native payment solution that makes use of the following third-party supports:

We may also email you with messages about your donations. For example, we may email you to tell you that:

  • You’ve created a Donor Account

  • Your Donor Account password has been reset or updated

  • You’ve made a donation transaction

  • A donation receipt

It’s not possible to unsubscribe from these messages. These messages are sent through Squarespace, our web hosting service.

Information specific to Intensive education experiences. Users must provide limited personal information to participate in our hands-on educational programs. Such information is provided through a Google form. Specific information requested is:

  • name

  • email address

  • home or shipping address

  • phone number(s) and

  • safety and health information

This information is only collected following the purchase of or scholarship designation to attend a hands-on educational program. It is collected within a business transaction as a result and is stored securely for the duration required by law.

Information specific to online education and online community experiences. Online education and our online community are facilitated through our Learning Management System Learnworlds. For more information about Privacy within our online learning environment you can review additional policies here. You may also receive emails that provide important information about educational programs you have purchased. You will not be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from emails regarding programs you have purchased because they are necessary to ensure the optimal experience for program participants.

Protection of Children (COPPA information)

We provide educational experiences only for adults.

Our website is powered by Squarespace, and information transmitted to and from our website is protected by Squarespace’s security suite. Fearless Farmers does not store our customers’ or donor payment information.

Fearless Farmers does not sell user information to third parties. Fearless Farmers does not share user information except as disclosed herein. We use third party service providers to help maintain our website and operate our business as described above. However, we do not share user information with such third parties unless it is necessary, for a limited purpose, and with permission.

Non-Personal Information 

We may collect non-personal information for the purpose of analyzing the effectiveness of the website or website features, adding new features, or for web analytics. Such information includes but may not be limited to type of browser, browser language, computer type, operating system, internet service provider, IP address, location data, dates and times of user visits, referring URLs, and other technical information. Some of this information is necessary for the website to display correctly such as for text fonts to display.
