Four Ways We're Being Fearless in 2024

As we celebrate everything we accomplished in 2023, we also know that our work is just getting started. Tackling climate change and soil degradation is an ongoing challenge, and we can’t do it without you.

Our programming is designed to create a spark by building capacity in education and farming to facilitate regeneration of land and community while inspiring the next generation to shift their worldview toward a regenerative lens.

We deeply believe that engaging our community is crucial to bringing this far-reaching change and healing to fruition. Your involvement is indispensable to our collective journey to protect the future of our food.

That’s why we're excited to share our plans for 2024, covering programs, scholarships, short courses, and more.

1 - Spreading the Message

In 2014, the UN reported that we are left with only 60 harvests due to rampant soil degradation. To prevent irreversible damage to our food systems, we're redoubling efforts to bring attention to regenerative farming education. That's why our fearless Founders, Amy and Sarah, will speak on several public forums in 2024 to share this important message.

In March, we’ll be participating in the Rooted in Regeneration Summit, which will be held at the historic White Oak Pastures farm in Bluffton, Georgia. Alongside several experienced leaders in the field, we'll discuss ideas, action plans, and practices that encourage environmental sustainability in our daily lives.

2 - We’re Operating at Least 4 Eco-Literacy Programs

After the success of our flagship eco-literacy training programs, we're gearing up for many more in 2024! Our online programs are designed to equip farmers, educators, and anyone curious about regenerative farming with the knowledge and tools to adopt these practices.

In the coming year, we plan to open at least four eco-literacy programs across four quarters, with a goal of 420% increase in participation over 2023. The folks in our programs go on to share their knowledge within their own communities!

And thanks to your generous donations, we plan to offer four scholarships (at least) to deserving educators and farmers for these programs.

Here's more exciting news: starting in 2024, we'll offer three pathways that will provide more opportunities for growing 1000 thriving communities — one for farmers, another for educators, and one for lifelong learners. While each pathway starts off together with the same curriculum, they differ in duration and offer specialized content (similar to choosing electives) catering to the specific needs of each group.

3 - Quarterly On-Site Farm Intensives

Here’s the deal: regenerative farming education is incomplete without practical learning that directly connects us to our land. That's why, in 2024, we're excited to announce FOUR 5-day on-site intensives at the Deeply Rooted Ranch in Burton, Texas.

Each intensive offers participants immersive, experiential learning at our headquarters, Deeply Rooted Ranch. They'll be engaging in hands-on activities at the farm, discussions, reflections, and bonding as a community. The idea is to imbibe in every learner a real-world understanding of regenerative farming.

Our on-site intensives will be scheduled for March, May, September, and December!

4 - Grounding Down: Our Introduction Course

In 2024 our goal is to continue activating people who want to lead the regenerative movement within their own communities. But over the years, we’ve met people curious about regenerative farming who aren’t able to commit to a long-term program yet.

For them, we're introducing our first (of many to come) course to help them take their first steps into the regenerative field.

This first course, aptly named 'Grounding Down' is short-term and online. It is also the introductory part of our Eco-Literacy Program and covers the essentials of regenerative farming and importance of place-based education.

It not only gives folks a taste of what our larger program is like, it is designed to help them choose a pathway for building their own regenerative community in the coming years.
